Join us for an extraordinary evening that blends the timeless elegance of Baroque music with the vibrant talent of young Namibian soloists. The first part of the concert will showcase these exceptional artists performing Baroque masterpieces, accompanied by the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra.
The program then takes an exciting turn in the second half, with the Concerto Grosso by South African composer Allen Stephenson, a stunning piece in the Baroque style featuring two solo violins, played by Jürgen Kriess and Deborah Haindongo.
As a special highlight, we will bring a delightful twist to the evening with several selections from "Beatles Go Baroque," where iconic Beatles songs are reimagined in the rich, intricate style of Baroque composers like Vivaldi, Handel, and Bach. This fusion of classical and modern will transport you through musical history, offering a fresh perspective on both Baroque traditions and the timeless tunes of the Beatles.
The concert will be conducted by Nezih Seckim from Turkey, who is making his debut performance with the Namibian National Symphony Orchestra.

NNSO - who we are
The NNSO is a group of musicians who perform classical music in Namibia. It includes professional musicians as well as amateurs, the work is project related, so for each concert the group of musicians varies according to the music that is played. Responsible for all music related issues is our concert master Mr. Jürgen Kriess.
The passion for making great music together is what keeps all of us giving our best and to outgrow ourselves every time.
